Attacked the rust underneath the wiper motor along the windscreen, wasn't as bad as I first though. Also strengthened up where the bonnet hooks go.


The paint was bubbling so we scraped it all back to find some rust.


Brendan made paint brush to fit the rust converter bottle.


Welding up the holes, messy but does the job.


Brendan made a tool for applying body filler.


Tool works a treat.


Sanded filler, hides the weld and gets the shape back.


Some thick rust paint and it should last another 20 years.


Nasty looking side bits where the bonnet hook onto, not very secure.


Welded a plate to the back.


Re welded the catches to the new plate.


Look the same but much stronger.
