The Ultimate Satay Chicken Recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 500g - Chicken Breast (DICED)
  • 1 – Onion
  • 1 – Carrot (Optional)
  • 1  C – Rice
Sauce:
 

  • 2 DJimmy’s Satay Sauce
  • 1.5 D -  Soya Sauce (light)
  • 1.5 D – Plum Sauce
  • 1.5 T – Cornflour
  • 1 Pinch – Chilli Flakes
  • 1 T – Seasame Oil
  • 1 T – Curry Powder
  • 1 T – Chicken Stock
  • 1/4 C – Water

D – Dessert Spoon
T – Tea Spoon
C – Cup

Method: 

  1. Mix sauce ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Slice onion in half lengthwise (with the grain) then cut into 1cm strips.
  3. Slice carrot in thin strips
  4. Prepare chicken into strips/chunks.
  5. Cook onions (separate from chicken) lightly until clear in a splash of oil.
  6. Cook rice in which ever way suits you.
  7. Cook chicken over high heat in a wok.
  8. Add onions & sauce.
  9. Give it a stir whilst rice finishes cooking.
  10. Serve on top of rice.
